Greig Engineering Ltd has over 190 formalised welding procedures They were established on our premises in accordance with ASME IX, ASME B31.3, NACE MR0175, BS EN ISO 15614-1:2004 as well as client specifications such as Shell Expro’s ES/124, Shell DEP, Total GE-EP-PVV-171 ,611 & 614, Taqa TI-003 & 018, and many others.
The range of materials qualified includes API 5L/A106 Gr B, API 5L X52, AISI 4130, A333 Gr 6, A350 LF2, UNS S31603, UNS S31254, UNS S31803, UNS S32760, Zeron 100, 90/10 Cuni, Monel 400, including combinations of these to each other.
We have GTAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW, Orbital GTAW and Auto-GTAW facilities to cope with all diameters and thickness’.
Our Welding Engineers have an extensive background in the field of welding practice and training of welders with such companies as BOC, Murex, Messer Griesheim Cutting & Welding.
A recent addition to our capabilities has been the introduction of two orbital welding systems to cover pipe diameters from 1.5″ NB to 10″ NB. Our Engineers have developed their own programmes that utilise traditional “V”-butt weld preparations rather than the customary and more complicated J-preparations associated with this type of welding.
Autofix Pipespool Measurement and Analysis
Pipe spool measurement using the Autofix Measurement system allows accurate surveying of pipespools by a single operator.
ML-CAD Software installed on a laptop computer is used in conjunction with a Leica TCA Instrument incorporating auto target recognition and motorised tracking.
The dimensional data is available at all times during the welding set up and post weld phases to ensure total accuracy.
Accurate user friendly dimensional inspection reports.
Fast accurate reporting.
Accurate replacement spool drawings can be generated quickly.
As built drawings are automatically produced.
